Read the following manual before operating your
Ballast or Adapter
3.1.-Installation instructions.
1.- Disconnect power. Unpack your Ballast or Adapter end check that the
out box and cables are in good condition.
2.- Locate the Ballast or Adapter place for
installation, keep the Ballast or Adapter no more than 0.50 meters away from
the Lamp and use 4Kv rated sockets, other way the lamp ignition could be
retarded or the lamp won’t start.
Screw the mounting plate, and fix the Ballast or
Adapter.
Warning: Keep the Ballast or Adapter away from
water.
3.- Select the right power to match the lamp and
Ballast or Adapter, the Ballast or Adapter is provided with a switch in the
bottom to select from 39, 50 70, and 100Watts.
Warning: selecting a wrong power switch position will make the lamp Fade out
or in the worst case a permanent lamp failure and damage, causing in some
extreme cases the inner bulb rupture that can cause serious injury or risk
of fire. The manufacturer won’t accept any further responsibility in case
of misuse.
4.- Wire the Ballast or Adapter as shown in the
picture:
Attach the green cable to ground.
Wire the White and Black cables to the Line power
120 +- 15% Vac 60Hz.
Wire the blue cables to the lamp socket.

Check the right lamp is right connected and energize the circuit.
3.2.-Operation instructions:
1.- When the 120Vac, 60Hz is applied, the
Ballast or Adapter will start the lamp during the first seconds, then the lamp
will gradually increment the power until the lamp reaches the operating power,
this can take several minutes depending of the lamp conditions.
2.- If the lamp does not start in the first
start cycle, or is turned off, the Ballast or Adapter will make starting cycles
each minute until the Lamp turns on again.
Warning: Each start cycle makes the Ballast or Adapter voltage rises up to 4,000V.
3.- If the energy fails the lamp will turn off
up to 20 Minutes until it cools and it will start again.
Warning: Avoid operating the Ballast or Adapter without Lamp, in short circuit, or with any of the blue wires attached to neutral. Do not operate without the cover removed.
5.- Replace the Lamp before end of rated life.
3.3.-Servicing instructions:
This
Ballast or Adapter won’t need regular service, but in case of failure, remove
power and replace the Lamp with a new
one.
If the failure is still present you may check the fuses located under the
Ballast or Adapter cover, consult a professional to make any electrical work,
risk of electrical shock.
1.-
Remove the power.
2.-
Remove the Ballast or Adapter cover removing the four corner screws.
3.-
Check each one of the 3 fuses located as in the figure.
4.-
Replace with same rating fuses.
Warning: Replace with same rating fuses 250V-1A or risk of serious damage or fire.
5.-
Screw the cover
